"Tai Chi and Chi Kung your way
to personal freedom, health, and fulfillment." - Liane
Harris
Greet your day with enthusiasm! Get healthy, not just
physically but also in mind and spirit. Connect and feel the
flow of chi in you. It is vibrant, glowing, strong, and
freely flowing. Let it be that way.
Tai Chi is a philosophy and practice
that started in China over 2000 years ago. It consists of
easy, slow, yet sophisticated movements that are beneficial
to anyone in many levels.
The fundamental principles of Tai Chi
which you will benefit as a practitioner include mind and body connection, fluidity of the movements,
control of breathing, and mental concentration. The central
focus is to enable the chi or life force that is within each
of us to flow smoothly and powerfully throughout the body.
Total harmony of the inner and outer self comes from the
integration of mind and body, achieved through continuous
practice of Tai Chi.
The unique feature of Tai
Chi is that it is an internal art. Internal because it
builds the inner strength from inside of the body. Placing
emphasis on cultivating the Chi, the life force; mental
strength and tranquility of the mind.
There will be times while doing Tai Chi that a
practitioner will enter a mental stage of calmness, moving
to a different world, time, and space, a world where there
is no schedule, no rush, and no deadlines. Yet the person
still feels very much a part of the world. In a
non-religious sense, it's a spiritual experience. Such an
experience is so satisfying and liberating that it is beyond
words.
